VanderCook College of Music
VanderCook alumni are dedicated teachers, professionally accomplished, and active citizens in their communities. Many also volunteer their time and talents to create a vibrant alumni organization to build and sustain lifelong relationships between alumni and their alma mater and among one another. They provide career advice to new graduates, connect through shared interests, and foster loyalty in our students.
VanderCook College of Music takes great pride in its alumni. We have recently dedicated new resources to improving alumni communications, recognition, and collaboration. If we can be of service or if you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (312) 788-1122 or email me at [email protected].
A Message from the Director of Alumni Relations:
No matter when you graduated or the degree you earned, VanderCook holds a special place in your heart. It certainly does for me. I was the first in my family to attend college. At the time, I was not overly confident in my playing ability. VanderCook not only gave me the confidence I needed to succeed but also welcomed me into what’s lovingly called the “VanderFamily .” This community would provide endless learning opportunities, inspire musical growth, and allow me to build lifelong friendships. I found a home here, and for the past 25 years, I have studied or served on the VanderCook staff. I am pleased to announce that I am now shifting my focus to Alumni Relations. As Director of Alumni Relations and Student Retention, I am committed to serving YOU, our alumni.
What you can expect:
- E-newsletters, keeping you up to date on alumni news and events
- An increased presence of VanderCook faculty and staff at your concerts
- Continued support of your endeavors and celebration of your accomplishments
