VanderCook College of Music is is an independent, not-for-profit, degree-granting institution, accredited by; the Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org), an institutional accreditor recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; the National Association of Schools of Music; and the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
VanderCook’s teacher certification programs are approved by the Illinois State Board of Education.
VanderCook’s distance education courses are monitored by the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.
