VanderGram: May 8, 2019

Join us this Friday at 4:00 p.m. for Undergraduate Commencement in the main hall of our 3125 S. Federal St. building. In addition to sending off the Class of 2019, an honorary doctorate will be presented to Charles "Chip" Staley. Admission is free and no reservations are required. We hope to see you there!

The last few weeks of every semester tend to be full of activities and accomplishments, and this spring has proved no different.

VanderCook is thrilled to announce a $10,000 grant from the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation awarded to the One City outreach program. Hats off to Dr. Leah Schuman for steering the program and securing the grant!

There was no shortage of outstanding concerts these last two weeks: Chamber Ensembles, Student Conductor, Jazz & Percussion with Rex Richardson, and the first-ever VanderCook Night at the Bog. Check out this terrific video for highlights of each.

On a sadder note, it is with heavy hearts that we report that trustee Joan Eagle passed away suddenly on April 30. Ms. Eagle joined our board almost two years ago and had been an avid supporter of the college. Her insight and contributions will be sorely missed.
