VanderCook Alum Back on Campus to Promote His Handcrafted Batons

Matthew Jackson (B'13) has been crafting batons since his undergrad years at VanderCook.  Dr. Robert Sinclair, Interim Graduate Dean and Director of Choral Activities, would hold a baton making workshop where students learn the basics of making batons as a part of the advanced conducting class. Jackson developed his skill and now has his own line of batons Jackson Conducting Batons.  Each year Jackson stops back at VanderCook to display his batons for graduate students.  You can also find Jackson Conduction Batons at many of the state convention shows.
