Kris Sabel joined VanderCook in 2014. She works as the Director of Health Services for a chain of international private schools. Kris teaches health at VanderCook. Her curriculum is tailored to address the needs of musicians as it pertains to performance-related injuries and preventative care. She further ensures that all VanderCook graduates receive the requisite knowledge and credentialing necessary to teach in Chicago public schools. 

Kris holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree, and is a two-time Summa Cum Laude graduate. She is a member of several professional nursing organizations and is a leader in her field. Kris is a longstanding patron of the arts. When she is not working, Kris enjoys reading non-fiction books and seeing independent films.
