Children love picture books! Music teachers have found that the repetitive structure of picture books provide us with a great opportunity to practice skills and develop cognitive understandings. Together we’ll explore ways to use picture books as eurhythmics movement stories, to practice challenging skills, and to highlight musical concepts. Roger Sams will model lessons using picture books and you’ll will create new lessons using picture books that we’ll share with each other. You’ll leave with a collection of lessons useful in music classrooms preschool through grade 5.
