Want to design a comprehensive music technology course that aligns with today’s education standards? How do we define and assess creative musical projects? Whether you have an existing course, are starting a new course, or just want to learn more about integrating technology, this course will allow you to focus on designing a music technology curriculum utilizing your own school technology as well as many free offerings. Using the National Core Arts Standards and 21st-century learning skills, we will create lessons and modules that allow students with any musical background to learn to create their own music.

Instructors: John Mlynczak


John Mlynczak offers an extensive range of experiences in music education. Mr. Mlynczak is the Director of Educational Technology for Noteflight, a Hal Leonard company. Previously, he served as Director of Education for PreSonus Audio. John has taught music, music technology, and music business at the elementary, secondary, and collegiate levels. He is an active performer, maintains a steady clinician schedule in music technology, and is President-Elect of the Technology Institute for Music Educators. John is a passionate advocate for music education, serving on the NAMM Support Music and State Advocacy Coalitions, the NAfME Advocacy Leadership Force, and is Advocacy Chairman for the Louisiana Music Educator’s Association. Mr. Mlynczak holds degrees in music education, music performance, and educational leadership.
