Recital Highlights

How is your relationship with your administrator going?  Do you struggle with connecting the teaching and learning in your music classroom to your district’s evaluation tool?  Do you ever wonder if you and your administrator are speaking the same language?

We will explore the art of communication as it relates to your role as a music educator:

✓     Focusing on The Framework evidence and illustrating the meaning of the rubric language in each of the Domains

✓     Role-Playing practical strategies for Planning and Reflective Conference conversations

✓     Creating relevant PD goals and SLO’s

✓     Reviewing the current hot topics in music education

During this week, you will have the opportunity to refine your skills for better communication with your administrator.

Instructor: Pamela Nabors Snoeck

Snoeck,_Pamela_headshot_2013Pamela Nabors Snoeck received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Roosevelt University.  Over the last 40 years, she has served in the roles of teacher and administrator, as well as that of instructor, clinician and adjudicator for many marching bands, drum corps, and color guards in across North America.  She has also choreographed a national television commercial.

As an educator, Pamela taught for ten years before becoming a building administrator for seventeen years.  When her district implemented the Danielson Framework model, Pamela served on the district’s implementation and oversight committee.  She also was a trainer for teachers and administrators and appeared in training videos with some of her staff. 

Pamela has recently retired from public education and is now involved in educational consulting as well as mentoring new principals.  She lives with her husband Ken in Roselle, IL.
