Greater Chicago American Orff-Schulwerk Association (GCAOSA) 2019-20 Workshop Series

Earn graduate credit from VanderCook by attending any of the 2019-20 GCAOSA Workshops. Students must attend 12.5 clock hours of clinic sessions and concerts for one graduate credit, or 25 clock hours for two credits.

An electronic portfolio is required in order to receive graduate credit. Portfolios should include summaries and critiques of all sessions/workshops/concerts attended, as well as copies of all handouts, programs and other supporting materials. Portfolios must be received no later than April 24, 2020.

  • January 11: Chapter Share GCAOSA 50th Anniversary
  • February 22: Joyce Stephansky, Elemental Play
  • March 21: Susan Ramsay, Around the World & Back Again: Singing & Moving with the Schulwerk
  • April 18: Karen Benson, Jazz & Blues in the Orff Schulwerk Classroom

Educators seeking credit must also register for each workshop with GCAOSA. Please visit for additional information. MECA pricing does not include any fees associated with GCAOSA for attending the workshops.
