Producing Effective
Educational Media

Educators are finding greater need to provide both audio and video media to their students, most of whom consume more and more content through online channels. With classrooms slowly adopting a “flipped” model (online lectures and collaborative work in school), the ability for educators to produce effective media will continue to play a larger role in the overall education process. This course illuminates how to record, edit, master, format and upload quality audio and video programs for your students. Class projects include publishing audio recordings, podcasts and videos, and setting up "channels" for both audio and video sharing.

Instructor: Kalani Das, MT-BC

Kalani Das, MT-BC, is a world percussion specialist with more than 30 years of professional experience. He is a certified Orff Schulwerk educator, a board-certified music therapist, and a requested presenter at conferences worldwide. Das has worked with music legends Barry Manilow, Yanni, Kenny Loggins and Rod Stewart. He is the founder of the DCM approach to community music making and a member of the Music Therapy Drumming training team. Das has written nine books and produced numerous instructional DVDs and music CDs. He presents workshops, retreats and residencies for students, teachers, therapists and the general public.
