Creating Choral Connections Through Movement & Gesture

A Master Class in Conducting & Rehearsal Techniques

Rodney Eichenberger

Eichenberger,_Rodney_headshotRodney Eichenberger is professor emeritus of Florida State University, where he taught graduate choral conducting, choral technique and conducting pedagogy. He has lectured and guest-conducted extensively throughout the United States and abroad. His choral conducting techniques and workshops, focused on movement and shared singer rehearsal gesture, are of international renown, influencing directors around the globe. His music education videos What They See Is What You Get and Enhancing Musicality Through Movement are widely used in collegiate conducting courses. He edits the Rodney Eichenberger Choral Series for Colla Voce Music.

Randy Stenson

Stenson,_Randy_headshot_2012Randy Stenson (MMEd ‘05) is the director of the acclaimed St. Mary’s International School Varsity Male Ensemble of Tokyo, Japan, where he has taught K-12 music. In demand as a choral clinician, adjudicator and guest conductor, he has been invited to choral communities on five continents. His use of movement and the kinesthetic in performance has earned wide recognition. Stenson is the coauthor of Creating Artistry Through Movement and the Maturing Male Voice and edits the Stenson Choral Series for Pavane Publishing and Santa Barbara Music Publishing.
