ACDA Regional Conference: A Retrospective

All online MECA courses begin

Spring break for online
courses is March 16-20, 2020;
no courses will be held.

for specific dates. Registration
for all on-campus courses closes two weeks prior to the course
start date.

Earn one semester hour of graduate credit attending educational clinics, exhibits and concert performances at all 2020 ACDA Regional Conferences.

MECA Retrospective Tuition: $150 per credit hour * 

(* 12.5 documented contact hours is required for each hour of credit earned.)
 

Course requirements:

1. All registrations must be completed and received with full tuition payment by March 5, 2020 for Central/North Central, Eastern, Southwestern and Western regional conferences and by March 12, 2020 for Northwestern and Southern regional conferences. VanderCook accepts phone and fax registrations with Visa, Discover or MasterCard payment information.

2. Students must document 12.5 hours of concerts, clinics and/or lectures for each semester hour of credit.  This is done through document collection and reflective writing.

3. After registration and payment are completed, students will receive access to Schoology, VanderCook's online platform. Following the conference, students are required to participate in two discussions and respond to at least two other discussion submissions. Students will submit written responses summarizing and critiquing all sessions and concerts attended. PDFs of all handouts, concert programs and other supporting materials must also be submitted with assignments.

4. Following the ACDA conference, students will upload copies of all handouts, concert programs, and supporting materials to our online learning platform, Schoology.  In addition, students will submit written responses summarizing and critiquing all sessions and concerts attended.  
All discussions and uploads must be completed and submitted by April 10, 2020.

Educators seeking credit must also register with ACDA.  MECA pricing does not include any fees associated with ACDA or conference attendance.  Please visit ACDA's conference page for additional information.
