Housing & Meal Options for Summer MMEd & MECA Students
Illinois Institute of Technology welcomes students from VanderCook College of Music to experience the convenience of living on campus during the summer of 2021. With modern residence hall options, a world-class campus center, several dining options, and easy access to downtown Chicago, IIT offers all the benefits of home in the heart of the city.
Students will live in IIT’s Rowe Village Middle (formerly State Street Village or SSV). Amenities for each unit include air conditioning, wireless internet, Comcast Xfinity cable, on-site laundry facilities and 24-hour security. Access to a community kitchen is also available.
MMEd Program Students:
Registration for Summer MMEd Residency students is through the VanderCook Student Portal. Check the appropriate box for single or double occupancy room. IIT will receive all needed information from the college. Please do not use the "Register Now" button on this page. Check-in for Summer MMEd Residency students begins at 12:00 noon on Sunday, July 11, 2021.
Check-out is 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 25.
MECA Program Students:
Summer MECA Housing registrations must be reserved through VanderCook’s MECA Registration Portal (Click the Register Now button). Early reservations are advised! All MECA program room reservations should be made at least two weeks prior to check-in dates.Summer MECA students may check in between 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays.
Check-out is at 10:00a.m. on Saturdays.
Check-in for both MMEd and. MECA students is in the Rowe Village Middle lobby. Look for additional information from IIT after you have registered for housing through the appropriate link.

Room Type
A standard double room includes two twin beds, desks, chairs, built-in closets, shared bathroom, kitchen and spacious lounges throughout the hall. Linen packages are available free of charge. Linen packages include a blanket, pillow, two sheets, pillowcase and towels.

Housing is also avialable for MMEd summer residency students through the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO).
Room Rates
Rates for a two week stay from 7/11 to 7/25/21: (includes check-in and check-out dates)
Single room in suite arrangement: $690 for the 2 weeks
Check-in - Sunday, July 11, 2021 – 10 am to 3:00 pm
Check-out - Saturday or Sunday, July 24 or 25 – 10 am to 3:00 pm

Summer meal plans require too high of a number of meals so we recommend that you pay for meals as you go.

Summer 2021 Parking Options
On-campus parking is available 24 hours per day. Hourly/daily/weekly rates are available at pay stations.
