Fall online courses begin September 17, 2018 and conclude on December 9, 2018.
Tuition Promotion Schedule:
August 3 – August 28, 2018: $995 (includes $25 savings)
August 29 – December 9, 2018: $1,020 (full tuition)
Promotional pricing applies only for tuition paid in full and excludes single credit courses and Band Instrument Repair.
The cost per-credit for the 2018-2019 acedemic year is $340.
*Band Instrument Repair is excluded from this cost schedule

Coordinator: Patrick Benson


Patrick Benson (MMEd '08) joined the administration of VanderCook College of Music in July 2015 as the director of continuing and online education. Benson earned his bachelor's degree from VanderCook and also received VanderCook’s Esprit de Corps Award. Benson attended the School for New Learning at DePaul University, earning his Master of Arts in Applied Professional Studies in 2017. While at DePaul, Benson was awarded the School for New Learning’s Student Excellence Award and Writing Showcase Award.
Benson returns to his alma mater having taught for seven years at Hubbard High School in Chicago as the director of bands. While at Hubbard, Benson led the marching, jazz and pep bands. He was also the audio/visual coordinator, as well as the school activity director and a local school council representative. Benson is a member of VanderCook’s Alumni Association and served as its president from 2014-2015. 
In addition to teaching and working at VanderCook, Benson is an active percussionist and drummer in the Chicagoland area, and currently serves as assistant director of the Lakeside Pride Jazz Orchestra.

Tuition: $340 (1 graduate credit), due in full with registration
Location: Concordia University, 7400 Augusta Street, River Forest, IL 60305. Click here for a campus map.
Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Location: All workshops (except November) will be held at Concordia University in River Forest. 
Parking: There is a free parking garage (Visitor lot #5) for your convenience on campus.  
Public Transit: Taking public transportation from the city?  Take the CTA Green Line to the Harlem/Lake station. From there, take the bus or walk one mile north to Concordia.
Note: The Lillie Feierabend workshop will be held at Old Town School of Folk Music from 9:00 a.m.  - 1:00 p.m.
