Handbell Week 2014

July 7th-10th

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church-West Campus

7291 County Highway PD

Verona, Wisconsin

This four day intensive workshop is designated to expand your handbell performance technique and musicianship. Each day is filled with rehearsals emphasizing hands-on learning through ringing some of today's best handbell music (Level 2+ to Level 4). Advanced instruction and a fun fast-paced group atmosphere make this a very enjoyable experiance for both ringers and directors interested in improving their handbell performance.
The week (Monday-Thursday) concludes with a public concert on Thursday evening featuring the handbell selections from the workshop. The concert will be located at the workshop site at 7:00pm and is open to family, friends, and the public.
VanderCook College of Music is offering one hour of graduate-level academic credit for eligible participants. To earn credit, a student must: 1) attend sessions totaling at least 12.5 hours per credit hour, including the final concert performance, and 2) complete a notebook summarizing and critiquing all sessions, including copies of all handouts and other supporting materials. The notebook must be postmarked no later than July 31st, 2014, three weeks after the conclusion of the workshop.
