Virtual Day of Percussion
January 29 & 30, 2021
Day of Percussion allows percussion students to experience a day of master classes, clinics and performances. Performers get the opportunity to work directly with guest clinicians.
This event, featuring percussion soloists and ensembles from around the Chicago area, is a great opportunity to be immersed in percussion for an entire day. Each performing group will play selections of their choice then receive a clinic for the remainder of the 30-minute time slot. This is a great chance for ensembles to perform their solo/ensemble selections in front of a live audience.
Day of Percussion is coordinated by Dr. James Yakas, professor of percussion studies at VanderCook College of Music. 2021 Clinicians
