Join Dr. Derrick Fox for a course that equips choral educators with the essential tools for effective leadership, innovative pedagogy, and personal wellness. You’ll explore strategies to inspire and motivate students, enhance vocal technique, and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Additionally, the course emphasizes self-care practices to help educators manage stress, prevent burnout, and maintain long-term career fulfillment. Whether you’re new to teaching or an experienced director, you’ll gain actionable insights to refine your leadership skills, improve your teaching approach, and sustain your passion for choral music education. Join us for a transformative learning experience that prioritizes both professional growth and personal well-being. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Evening activities will include concerts and events in Chicago.
This course is in person, on campus, from June 30 – July 2 2025. This course is available for two graduate credits for $764 or 30 Professional Development Hours for $275.
