Course Description
Band arranging will explore creative adaptation of music from a variety of sources to the pedagogical and aesthetic needs of your student or community bands. Starting with small like-instrument ensembles and growing through woodwind, brass and percussion choirs to full band, the course will give you tools to use in the preparation of materials for use with your students and give you a creative outlet. The course will meet you wherever your experience is currently and give you the confidence to expand your comfort zone. The course is rigorous and there is writing every week.
Weekly synchronous class sessions give us the opportunity to learn from one another.
Note: This course is limited to 12 participants.
