If you are going to be attending the Wisconsin Music Educators Association Conference on October 23 - 25th, please be sure you make plans to attend "Enhancing Creativity in the Digital Classroom With Project-Based Learning." VanderCook technology professors, Dr. Roseanne Rosenthal and Mr. Rick Palese will be presenting on this popular topic. This session will help you find pragmatic ways to help students develop creative musical products that utilize 21st century digital technologies. Project-based learning is an educational strategy that is amenable to this type of learning. This session will address this topic by examining: 1) the nature of creativity and a creative product; 2) attributes of project-based learning; 3) examples of projects utilizing 21st century technologies that are inexpensive and accessible within a modest school budget.
Their session will take place on Friday, October 25th from 10:00 a.m. - to 11:15 a.m. in room G of the Monona Terrace. Please stop by the VanderCook booth anytime during the conference to say hello and pick up the latest VanderCook materials.
