12:00 p.m. CDT.
Summer Online courses begin June 11 and conclude on August 3, 2018.
3-Credit Tuition Promotion Schedule:
March 5 – April 1, 2018:  $970 (includes $50 savings)
April 2 – April 29, 2018:  $995 (includes $25 savings)
April 30 – August 3, 2018:  $1,020 (Full tuition)
1-Credit Tuition:

Orff Schulwerk Levels Courses

Promotional pricing only applies for tuition paid in full.
This course builds on the foundation of the Level I class and includes folk melodies, modes and rhythms. Learn more complex accompaniments, musical forms and improvisations. Texts will be provided, but you must bring Music for Children, Vol. I and your own alto recorder; bring tenor and bass recorders if you have them. 
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Orff Schulwerk Teacher Education Course Level I.

Instructors: Meg Tietz, Cynthia Seputis & Ben Torres


Meg Tietz teaches music and movement to K-5 children in at Bay Elementary in Seabrook, TX. She completed her master's degree, with a concentration in Orff Schulwerk, at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. She is an active presenter for local workshops, sessions at the AOSA National Convention and has served as a Level I basic pedagogy and movement instructor for courses in Connecticut, Montana and Nebraska.

Cynthia Seputis has a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in music education from Northwestern University. She completed all three levels of her Orff training at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. Seputis has taught K-5 general music at George B. Carpenter Elementary School in Park Ridge, IL, for the past 22 years. She is a regional presenter and is proud to have been part of the VanderCook Orff team since the program's inception over ten years ago.



Ben Torres is in his 12th year in the Richardson (TX) school district and his fourth year as the K-6 music specialist at Brentfield Elementary in Dallas, where he also directs the Brentfield Singers, the Rhythm Cats Orff Ensemble and serves as the JJ Pearce Area Team Leader. Prior to this, he was the K-6 music specialist at Richland Elementary, where he also directed a choir and an Orff ensemble, the latter of which was selected to perform at the 2011 TMEA Convention. Torres received his bachelor’s degree in music education from West Texas A&M University in Canyon. He teaches movement in the Orff Schulwerk training course at Trinity University in San Antonio, movement and recorder in the Orff Schulwerk course at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, and other courses across the country. He is currently the president of the North Texas Chapter of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association.
