Registration and Payment Policy

VanderCook College of Music will not reserve a spot in class without a completed registration. Course registrations are not considered complete unless accompanied by either a non-refundable deposit, or full tuition. All outstanding tuition balances must be paid in full before attending class.  Tuition requirements can be found accompanying each individual course description.  It is highly recommended that you contact our business office at least one week prior to your class to settle any balances due.

Ways to Register:

There are four ways to register for a MECA Continuing Education course:

1. Online Registration

Online registration is accepted for MECA Continuing Education courses. Click on the links to the right of this page to access the online form for the current term. Payments to VanderCook College of Music made through online registration are processed using PayPal. Students are NOT required to have a PayPal account in order to submit payment. Be sure to have the most current version of your web browser installed to avoid any compatibility issues.

2. Register by Phone

Phone registrations are accepted with payment charged to Visa, Discover, or MasterCard. Call our main office at (312) 225-6288, and mention that you would like to register for a MECA Continuing Education course. Phone registrations are accepted Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

3. Register by Fax

You may also fax a completed registration form directly to VanderCook College of Music. Faxed registrations are accepted with payment charged to Visa, Discover, or MasterCard. Fax your registration to (312) 225-5211. 

4. Register by Mail

You may also mail a completed registration form to VanderCook College of Music. Mailed registrations are accepted with payment charged to Visa, Discover, or MasterCard, Cash or Check. Mail your registration along with payment to:

Purchase Orders:

VanderCook College of Music does not accept school purchase orders for MECA Continuing Education registration. 

Resource Fees:

An instructional resource fee is included in the cost of each MECA Continuing Education course, to cover the costs of educational materials, music, accompanists, equipment rental, etc.  For instrument repair courses, conducting courses and computer courses, the fee is $95; for all other courses, the fee is $85.

Cancellations: 

Refunds of tuition, less a non-refundable deposit, may be requested up to noon on the Friday prior to the beginning of the course.  VanderCook reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrollment. Full refund of tuition and fees is granted if VanderCook cancels a course. 

Auditing:

Any course may be audited for no credit.  There is no tuition discount for auditing.

Many limited enrollment classes fill rapidly.
Also, early registration can help avoid class cancellation due to insufficient enrollment.
