Eckroth Music, in conjunction with Hal Leonard Corporation and JW Pepper are proud to present the TOTAL BAND DIRECTOR WORKSHOP on July 29-30, 2015 at Rush Creek Golf Club. After the two-day workshop, directors will go home with new tools, materials, and music – not to mention a renewed excitement for teaching band! At the workshop you will learn creative, unique, and innovative ideas, discover great new music, material and tools for band, network with fellow teachers, as well as clinicians and staff, and have a lot of FUN.
VanderCook College of Music is offering one semester hour of graduate-level academic credit for eligible participants. To be eligible to receive graduate-level credit for course 7205, a student must have a degree in a music-related discipline. Any exceptions must be approved directly by VanderCook College of Music. To earn credit, a student must: 1) attend sessions totaling at least 12.5 clock hours per credit hour; and 2) complete a notebook documenting activities attended.

NOTEBOOK: The notebook should consist of a three-ring binder with tabbed dividers as appropriate for the material. The notebook must have a title page stating course number and title, the student’s name and the term (Summer 2015), as well as a table of contents.
All information must be typed and neatly formatted in a manner befitting graduate credit. Handwritten work will not be accepted. Full sentences and correct grammar and spelling are required. The notebook should explain what was presented and include the student’s thoughts on the material and ideas for practical application. All handouts and supporting materials must be included.
Notebooks should be mailed to: VanderCook College of Music, Attn: MECA Continuing Education, 3140 S. Federal St., Chicago, IL, 60616, for evaluation. The notebook must be postmarked no later than August 31, 2015. Notebooks will be returned after evaluation.
