Come brush up on your brass teaching skills! Find new insights into building your bras students' tone production, breathing, and embouchure strength and efficiency. Through a combination of playing and discussion, we will explore successful approaches to teaching both high and low brass instruments, with instructors specializing in both instrument families. From screening students and producing the first tone to mastering advanced techniques like multiple tonguing and extended range, we will see how you can tap into your brass students' natural musical instincts to make improvement a natural and rewarding journey for each and every student. Students will need to make arrangements to have a trumpet for week 1, horn (single or double is fine) for week 2, trombone for week 3, tuba or euphonium for week 4, and a brass instrument of your choice for week 5.
