Campus Housing for Summer Continuing Education

For inexpensive and comfortable housing, VanderCook's first choice is the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) residence halls.  Early registration is strongly advised.  Arrangements for campus housing must be made directly through the IIT Summer Residence Website. 
*VanderCook College of Music does not make housing arrangements for students. Please do not submit housing payments to VanderCook.

Campus Dining for Summer Continuing Education

Students staying in IIT campus housing receive a meal plan, however campus dining facilities are open to all MECA Continuing Education students.  Plan options, cost and other information may be found on the IIT Dining Page. Please note that during the summer term, breakfast begins serving at 7:00 a.m., while courses start at 8:00 a.m.

Summer Parking

During the Summer MECA term, students parking on campus must purchase parking permits.  Permits must be purchased in advance from the IIT Parking Services Office. Parking is available for purchase online only. A link for purchase is available on the IIT parking homepage. Parking permission is by registered plate with no physical permit. Parking enforcement will not be suspended on Mondays. MECA Continuing Education students may not park in the parking lot B4 directly in front of the VanderCook building on Monday morning. Individuals that do not purchase parking by 4:00pm, the Friday prior to arrival will need to utilize the visitor pay lot on the first day. Visitor pay lot kiosks accept credit/debit card payment only.
*If you receive a ticket for parking illegally on campus, please contact the IIT Parking Office directly. The faculty and staff at VanderCook College of Music have no authority in this matter. VanderCook College of Music does not make parking arrangements for students. Please do not include parking payments with your tuition payment to VanderCook.

IIT parking regulations are enforced from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from Monday through Saturday.  Parking is free and available at all other times.

To locate the proper lot to park in, please download the IIT Campus Parking Map.

Meter Costs:

Visitors who wish to park on IIT's campus during regularly enforced hours are encouraged to use lots B5, A4, and D5, which are metered parking lots. The parking meters on IIT's campus are electronic and accept bills, coins, and credit cards.  Please note that the meters in lot B5 have not yet been installed. Meter print-outs are time specific and you can leave and re-enter the lot within the allotment of your purchased time.

1-2 Hours = $2
3-5 Hours = $5
6 Hours = $10
All-Day Pass = $12
