Using Joseph Alsobrook's book Pathways as a base, this course focuses on creating an instructional framework for effective teaching and learning, including the Mastery Learning Model. Instructional objectives and units, practice units, repertoire selection, managing the rehearsal environment, and the social-emotional domain are also explored in depth. Discussion and collaboration will be key activities throughout this course. You'll leave with concrete ideas and completed projects that will directly improve your teaching and overall music program.
