Candidates admitted to the Master of Music Education Degree Program, and have chosen the option of completing course requirements for a teaching license in the State of Illinois, must schedule a personal advising session with the Dean of Graduate Studies.
Once a candidate's official transcripts have been evaluated, to determine which courses align to the VanderCook curriculum, a semester-by-semester academic plan will be created to assist the candidate in completing the program in a timely fashion. Applicable courses wilol transfer if the candidate has earned a "C" or higher. Transfer courses do not affect the candidate's VanderCook GPA.
Master’s and Certification candidates who enroll in classes during the fall and spring semesters will follow the undergraduate class schedule. Courses taken during the summer semester will follow the graduate class schedule. Registration forms are available from the Dean of Graduate Studies.
Please refer to the College Catalog for all academic policies and course descriptions, and more detailed information concerning program requirements. Graduate course registration forms are available from the Dean of Graduate Studies.
