Friday July 25 - School Choral Reading Session & Workshop with Mac Huff and Jerry Rubino
School Choral (MS & HS) 9:00am – 4:00pm
Join renowned composers and clinicians Mac Huff and Jerry Rubino for a multi-publisher reading session and workshop featuring new music for middle and high school choir. Find motivation to plan now for your entire performance year! Whether you are a young professional or an experienced teacher, this workshop will save hours of programming research by introducing innovative selections.
VanderCook College of Music is offering an hour of graduate-level academic credit for eligible participants. To earn credit, a student must: 1) Attend the Elementary/Classroom New Music Workshops, AND the Middle School/High School New Choral Music Workshop, for a total of 12.5 class hours. 2) Complete the assigned project -- more information is available at the workshop or from VanderCook College. Additionally, each student is encouraged to keep a journal documenting the sessions he or she has attended.
