SHARE YOUR PASSION

Get Involved

VanderCook is their future…music education is their passion.

Sending a student to college is a major life event for families as well as students. At VanderCook, we are committed to helping you and your student make the most of their college experience by providing numerous opportunities for them to get involved in VanderCook traditions and campus activities.

You can share in their experience, meet more of the VanderCook family, and help support the college, too.  Throughout the year, we host events you can participate in a number of ways.

Prism Concert

Each September, the college hosts a concert featuring each of our major ensembles.  This 2012 Prism Concert will be held on Saturday, September 8 at 7:00 pm and will include a pre-concert reception on campus.  This is not only a wonderful musical event, but also a great social event.  You’ll be able to meet faculty and staff, students, other families, and spend some time enjoying autumn in Chicago.

A Night at the Pops benefitting the Great Teachers Scholarship Fund

Each spring, the college hosts a benefit concert to support the Great Teachers Scholarship Fund.  This fund is our largest source of institutional financial aid for our students and A Night at the Pops contributes over $20,000 each year to the fund.  The evening includes ensemble performances, student ensembles, a silent auction, a light supper, and cash bar all enjoyed in the company of the VanderCook family.

Now in it's 10th year, A Night at the Pops has grown to become one of VanderCook’s most anticipated events and traditions.  You can support A Night at the Pops and the Great Teachers Scholarship Fund in a number of ways: by attending, providing items for the silent auction, taking an ad in the event program, bringing guests.

TrusTEE Open Golf Outing benefitting the Great Teachers Scholarship Fund

Each June, the Board of Trustees and the college host the annual TrusTEE Open Golf Outing to support the Great Teachers Scholarship Fund - our largest source of institutional financial aid for our students.  The TrusTEE Open is an important source of support and contributes over $20,000 each year to the fund.  This day on the Links at Carillon in Plainfield, IL brings out alumni and friends of the college for a round of great golf, good company, wonderful food, and plenty of prizes.

The TrusTEE Open Golf Outing is now one of VanderCook’s most anticipated summer events and traditions. You can support the outing and the Great Teachers Scholarship Fund by attending, providing an event sponsorship, providing items for the raffle, sponsoring a hole, bringing guests.
