ABOUT MECCP

Background and Purpose

The Music Education Cooperative Collection Project (MECCP) was established in 2005. This partnership of sixteen academic libraries establishes a statewide collection of music education resources to support students preparing to be music teachers, current music educators, and the general public, children through adults, with an interest in music learning.

Who we are

Sixteen academic libraries in Illinois currently participate in MECCP. Each member library collects materials representing a specific aspect of music education. View a listing of member libraries.

Using the Resources

Member libraries share materials purchased with grant funds through interlibrary loan. Materials may be searched and requested through OCLC Worldcat. Contact your local library for details regarding interlibrary loan.

CARLI

Funding for MECCP was provided in part by a grant from the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI). For more information, visit the CARLI website at www.carli.illinois.edu.
