Over 100 Students Attended ILMEA Audition Master Classes

20160913_203130

Again this year, VanderCook College of Music faculty offered free master classes for high school students participating in ILMEA Auditions. Over 125 students visited campus for these master classes on Tuesday, September 13 and Wednesday, September 21. Classes were offered for violin, string bass, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, flute, percussion, tuba, euphonium, trombone, trumpet, saxophone, jazz, and choir. Several high school band and choir directors from around Chicago and the suburbs brought groups of students to receive additional audition preparation.

Thanks to the faculty who offered their time to teach these classes and to all of the directors and students who travelled to VanderCook to join us! We wish all the students the best of luck on their auditions!
