Lorraine Quinlan Scholarship

George Quinlan, Sr. received his bachelor and master’s degrees from DePaul University in Chicago, and went on to teach at both DePaul and St. Xavier College before founding the Quinlan and Fabish Music Company in 1959 with his partner Tom Fabish.  Quinlan and Fabish, which began with the goal of helping schools build music programs and helping young music teachers find schools in which to teach, has grown into one of the largest full-service school music retailers in the United States.  VanderCook awarded Mr. Quinlan the doctor of music honorus causa degree in 1999.  This scholarship was created in honor Mr. Quinlan's wife, Lorraine who passed away in 2006.
