Imagine a life of music
It takes great music teachers to show children that music is not just to be heard – it's to be played and sung. VanderCook graduates share a love of music in classrooms every day, enriching children's lives and inspiring greatness.
Supporters of VanderCook College of Music make a difference in music education. VanderCook is one of the nation's leading institutions in the field of music education, fostering teachers with strong character, skill in teaching, and respect for the essential role of music in our culture. For nearly 100 years, VanderCook has been preparing the next generation of music educators who go on to impact the lives of children in schools here and abroad. VanderCook remains at the center of music education today, attracting over 10,000 music students and teachers to Chicago’s south side for clinics, classes, and concerts every year.
Every student at VanderCook receives some form of need-based aid. The continuation of our comprehensive programs taught by renowned faculty is only possible through the support of our alumni and friends. Our donors shape the future of music education and help ensure that every child will experience music in their life.
