Junior Day of Guitar

Junior Day of Guitar

February 19, 2020

Building off the success of our popular Day of Guitar, Junior Day of Guitar is designed especially for younger and less-experienced players. Instructors will pick up tips on repertoire, running rehearsals, and playing techniques. Students will rehearse and perform with the Junior Day of Guitar Orchestra, participate in hands-on learning activities, attend a professional guitar mini-concert, and have the opportunity to perform an ensemble piece in the Participants Recital.

The Junior Day of Guitar Orchestra music is composed specifically for middle school musicians. Parts are easy enough for beginners and include a challenging part for intermediate players. All orchestra parts are available in standard notation and guitar tab. Instructors should practice and rehearse the music with their students before the event.

Junior Day of Guitar begins with registration at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m.
