Symphonic Band's Concert in the Park

The VanderCook College of Music Graduate Symphonic Band will play the 6th Annual Concert in the Park on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Women's Park & Gardens behind the Clarke House Museum in Chicago at 1827 S. Indiana Avenue.

Families are encouraged to bring kids early for a Community Drum Circle Demonstration at 6:30. It will be a fun way for kids to experience the joy of making music before enjoying a concert by VanderCook's Graduate Symphonic Band.

Join VanderCook College of Music to cheer on runners in the 35th annual Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 13, 2013.  For the past 9 years, VanderCook has sponsored the rally station at 33rd and Federal...mile 23.6!  Our "Pep Band" will be on hand to give the runners the extra support they need as they make their way to the finish line. The fun begins at 9:00 am and goes to 1:00 pm.  Bring your instrument or grab a pair of sticks and join the drum line!  For more information, please contact Clarmarie Keenan at (312) 788-1131 or ckeenan@vandercook.edu.
