Continue your music studies at VanderCook. Play in band, orchestra or jazz band. Sing in the choir. Take piano or guitar lessons. Study music theory or learn about music history.
IIT MUSIC STUDIES AT VCM
Illinois Institute of Technology students can study music at a nationally-acclaimed music education institution through an arrangement with VanderCook College of Music.
IIT students have the opportunity to play in music ensembles, participate in music classes, and take private music lessons at VanderCook College of Music.

Courses are available for music theory, sight-singing and ear training, music history, world music, music arranging, and jazz harmony.
Private lessons are available for flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion, violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, piano and voice.
HOW YOU CAN SIGN UP
IIT students in good standing pay a small stipend to IIT and nothing to VanderCook College of Music. IIT pays students’ VanderCook tuition.
