About the H.E. Nutt Archives What's New Hale A. VanderCook's Voice: Read the article appearing in the Spring 2006 Vanguard and listen to the "distinct" and "eloquent" voice of Mr. H.A. VanderCook. Help Support the Archives: Your contribution to the H.E. Nutt Society helps us to preserve the legacy of VanderCook College of Music and its founders. The purpose of the H.E. Nutt Archives is to collect, preserve, and make available for research those materials documenting the history of VanderCook College of Music, and the role of the College and its members in music education past and present. The H.E. Nutt Archives serves as an information resource and strives to promote research among the "VanderCook College community," including individuals and collective members of the faculty, staff, administration, student body, and alumni. The Archives also serves individuals outside of the "VanderCook College community" who have an interest in the College's history or the history of music education. The H.E. Nutt Archives is a department of VanderCook College of Music. The H.E. Nutt Archives is open to VanderCook College of Music's administrative personnel, faculty and students, VanderCook College alumni, outside researchers, and others interested in the history of VanderCook College of Music or music education. Archive materials are non-circulating and can be viewed on-site in Ruppel Memorial Library's reading room at VanderCook College of Music, by appointment only. Although reference questions are accepted, researchers are encouraged to make an appointment to visit the Archives and perform their own research. Duplication of archival materials may be requested, in accordance with copyright law and the discretion of archives staff. Prices are: photocopies ($.10 each page), scanned images printed on B&W laserjet ($1.00 each page), scanned images printed on color laserjet using photo quality paper ($5.00 each page). Note: Certain archival materials (i.e. personnel records) are confidential and can not be viewed without written consent. Contact the archivist for detailed information on Archives policy regarding confidential records.
