Parking on Campus

Visitor Parking Information

IIT parking regulations are enforced from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from Monday through Saturday. Parking is free and available at all other times.

To locate the proper lot to park in, please visit IIT’s Maps & Directions webpage.

Meter Costs:

Visitors who wish to park on IIT’s campus during regularly enforced hours are encouraged to use lots B5, A4, and D5, which are metered parking lots. The parking meters on IIT’s campus are electronic and accept bills, coins, and credit cards. Please note that the meters in lot B5 have not yet been installed. Meter print-outs are time specific and you can leave and re-enter the lot within the allotment of your purchased time.

1-2 Hours = $2
3-5 Hours = $5
6 Hours = $10
All-Day Pass = $12

Concerts and Recitals:

VanderCook concerts on campus during the fall and spring semesters take place at 7:30 p.m.  We encourage you to arrive at or after 7:00 p.m. for free access to the parking lots surrounding the Hermann Union Building (B5, B3, B4, B2).  If arriving prior to 7:00 p.m., please use the metered visitor lots B5, A4, or D5.

Recitals or events taking place during regularly enforced hours will require audience members to park in metered visitor lots B5, A4, or D5.

MECA Continuing Education Classes:

MECA students during the fall and spring semesters should use metered visitor lots B5, A4, or D5 on Saturdays.  Parking is free on Sunday.
