83 VanderCook Students to Work the Midwest Clinic
December 15, 2013 10:36 AM
83 VanderCook students will begin working for the Midwest Clinic beginning on Monday, December 15, 2013. This will mark the 67th year that VanderCook will both perform and provide service through, what has lovingly come to be known, as the “blue vests”. VanderCook College of Music was one of the founders of this clinic and continues to have a strong annual presence.
Students proudly work as set-up and usher personnel at the Midwest Clinic. They take care of much of the “behind the scenes” work of equipment assembly and set up and welcome participants at the door of every event. This type of work is familiar and a pert of their practical training at the college when preparing for all of their performances and organizing outreach events throughout the year.
